A torn wetsuit seam or a weeping latex seal doesn't have to mean a new suit.

This polyurethane repair adhesive from Look Clear is what we reach for when kit comes back from a dive with damage that needs a proper fix, not a temporary patch. The flexible finish means the repair moves with the material rather than cracking at the edges, which is the failure point of most rigid adhesives used on neoprene or latex.

Each pack contains two 10g tubes and an applicator brush, giving you enough adhesive for several repairs without waste.

What it works on

The adhesive bonds reliably to neoprene (wetsuits, boots, gloves, hoods), latex neck and wrist seals on drysuits, inflatable kayaks and paddleboards, surf kite bladders, and waterproof or protective clothing. The finish cures clear, so repairs on visible areas stay discreet.

How to get a clean repair

Surface preparation makes the difference between a repair that lasts a season and one that peels off after three dives. Clean both surfaces thoroughly and let them dry completely before applying. Apply a thin, even coat to both sides of the join, allow a few minutes to become tacky, then press firmly together and hold. For seam repairs, work in sections rather than trying to bond the whole length at once.

Latex seal repairs need particular care. Latex is unforgiving of uneven adhesive application, so the brush applicator here is worth using properly rather than squeezing directly from the tube.

Worth keeping in your kit bag

If you're a regular UK diver, the combination of cold water, repeated donning and doffing, and the stress on neoprene seams at the wrists and ankles means small tears are a question of when, not if. Having this on hand means you're not sitting out a dive because of a reparable split.

We also stock this for customers who service their own drysuits. Latex seal replacement is a job for a professional if the seals are fully gone, but a small tear caught early can often be repaired cleanly with this adhesive before it becomes a full seal failure.
