What Divepro actually make

Everything on this page is lighting, or something that holds, powers or filters a light. That narrow focus shows in how deep the range goes: you can buy a first backup torch, a full photography lighting set-up and a hands-free tech primary from the same brand, and keep the batteries, arms and clamps consistent across all of it.

Handheld torches

The S and D series cover the handhelds. At the entry-level end sit genuinely tiny lights like the D1 Super Mini and the S10, small enough to live in a BCD pocket as a backup. The S11, S20, S26, S40 and S40 Plus step up through the mid-range as primary torches for recreational diving. Worth checking before you choose: some are twist-operated, like the D1 and the D5-3, and some are switch-operated, like the S11 and the S26. In a drysuit and thick gloves, a switch is far easier to find and work than a twist.

Umbilical torches for tech and sidemount

The CL-8 is the one to look at if you want a hands-free primary on a technical rig. We stock it in three cable configurations, backmount, sidemount and a rotating-cable version, so you can match it to how your kit is already set up. Most divers pair it with the Divepro Hard Goodman Handle.

Video lights for underwater photography and video

A torch beam is too tight and too hot in the centre to film with. The flood lights here spread the beam so a whole scene lights evenly, which is what stops footage looking like someone swinging a torch around in the dark.

The G, W and D flood lights

This is the biggest part of the range. The G series runs G12, G12 Plus, G15 Plus, G15 Pro, G15 Pro Plus, G18 and G18 Plus. The W series runs W08, W08 Plus, W10, W12, W12 Plus, W15 Pro, W15 Pro Plus, W18, W18 Plus and W30. The D-series floods, D6F, D40F, D80F, D80F Plus, D90F and D90F Plus, sit alongside them, as do the Vision 8 Pro and the Master 8. Many are listed as a complete bundle with a battery pack, charger and ball mount together, which saves working out afterwards which pack and mount you needed.

Snoots, filters and multifunction heads

Two specialist options are worth knowing about. The MP10 and the MP30 are macro snoot lights, which narrow the beam to a small circle so a small subject is lit and the background behind it stays dark. The M4 and the M35 are multifunction heads combining wide, spot, red, blue and UV output in one body, which is useful for fluorescence diving and for approaching skittish critters on red light. There is also an Ambient Light Filter in cyan for balancing your light against blue water.

Arms, clamps, handles and spares

The mounting hardware is here too, which is the part people forget about until the light arrives and there is nothing to attach it to. Double Ball Arms come in 150mm, 200mm and 250mm, and the Triple Butterfly Clamp joins them together. For power we carry the Standard 18650 and Standard 26650 cells as loose spares, alongside the larger W-series packs including the wireless-charging W30.

Which dive light brands does Oyster Diving stock on this page?

What is the difference between a Divepro torch and a Divepro video light?

The torches are the S and D handhelds, such as the S11, S26, S40 and D1. They throw a tighter beam, which is what you want for signalling, looking into cracks and night dives. The video lights are the G, W and D-series flood heads, such as the G15 Pro, W12 and D80F. They spread a wide, even beam so your footage is not lit by a bright hot spot in the middle of a dark frame. If you shoot as well as dive, most people end up owning one of each.

How do I mount a Divepro light onto my camera rig?

Divepro use a ball-and-clamp system, and several of the lights here ship with a ball mount already included. From there you need arms and a clamp. We stock the Divepro Double Ball Arm in 150mm, 200mm and 250mm, plus the Divepro Triple Butterfly Clamp for joining arms together. Divers using a torch hands-free on a tech or sidemount rig usually add the Divepro Hard Goodman Handle instead.

Can I buy Divepro batteries and spares separately?

Yes. We stock the Divepro Standard 18650 and Standard 26650 cells as loose spares, and the larger W-series battery packs including the W12, W18, W18 Plus and the wireless-charging W30. Several of the video lights are also listed as a bundle with a battery pack, charger and ball mount together. If you are travelling and want a second pack rather than relying on a charge between dives, buying the spare at the same time saves matching it up later.

Does Divepro make anything for macro photography?

Yes, and it is one of the more interesting corners of the range. The Divepro MP10 is an optical lens macro snoot light, and the MP30 is the brighter super-bright macro snoot. A snoot narrows the beam down to a small circle so you can light a nudibranch or a shrimp without lighting the rubble behind it, which is what gives macro shots that black background. There is also a Divepro Ambient Light Filter in cyan if you are balancing your light against blue water.
