Apeks EVX200 dive regulator
The EVX200 is Apeks' current flagship, and the detail that gives it away is the port arrangement. Five medium-pressure ports and two angled high-pressure ports means you can route hoses and a transmitter tidily instead of fighting a first stage that puts everything in the wrong place.
Underneath that it is a proper cold water regulator: over-balanced diaphragm, environmentally sealed with an Auto Closure Device, and a heat exchanger on the second stage. Designed and made in the UK, which for a regulator being dived in UK water is not just a nice line.
It sits at the top of our diving regulators range, above the MTX-RC on refinement and below it on sheer ruggedness.

Nitrox to 40 percent as supplied
The EVX200 is rated for nitrox up to 40 percent oxygen when new. In Europe, regulators are supplied for use with air at 21 percent unless oxygen-cleaned. If you dive enriched air, tell us and we will confirm what your set needs before you order.
Why divers choose the EVX200
Hose routing you do not have to fight
Five MP ports and two angled HP ports sounds like a spec line and it is actually a daily quality-of-life feature. Transmitters sit where they should, the octopus routes cleanly, and nothing crosses your chest at an awkward angle. Anyone who has rigged a twinset or added a transmitter to a crowded first stage knows the difference.
The Auto Closure Device saves the first stage from you
The ACD seals the inlet when you take the regulator off the cylinder, so water and grit stay out between dives. Most regulator servicing problems start with contamination that got in on a boat deck rather than at depth.
Cold water performance with a heat exchanger
The second stage draws warmth from the surrounding water to resist freezing, and the first stage is environmentally sealed. For UK winter diving, that combination is the specification that actually matters.
Serviced in-house by our own technicians
Like every regulator we sell, the EVX200 can be serviced in-house at our UK dive centre. Apeks parts, our own bench, and no waiting on a distributor in the middle of the season.
Features that matter underwater
Over-balanced diaphragm first stage
Intermediate pressure rises faster than ambient as you descend, so the second stage keeps delivering at depth instead of getting progressively stiffer. Combined with the one-piece forged body, it is the reason the EVX200 feels the same at 40 metres as it does at 10.
Double swivel hose
The hose swivels at both ends, so the second stage follows your head instead of tugging back at it. On long dives this is one of the biggest contributors to reduced jaw fatigue, alongside the Comfo-Bite mouthpiece.
Progressive purge and large adjuster
The purge is two-stage, so you can crack it gently rather than blasting a full flow. The breathing effort adjuster is large enough to operate in thick gloves, which is the only size that matters in February.
Reversible second stage
Hose can be routed over either shoulder, which makes the EVX200 usable in sidemount and twinset configurations rather than single cylinder only.
Set venturi to minimum before you enter the water
Every high-performance second stage will free-flow on the surface if the venturi is left open. Close it while you kit up, open it once you are in. This applies to the whole Apeks range and it is the single most common cause of gas wasted before the dive starts.

Who it may not be for: divers who want the lightest possible travel regulator should look at the XL4+, which is cold water rated and considerably lighter. If your priority is maximum ruggedness for harsh conditions, the MTX-RC is the more appropriate build.
