Fourth Element Seeker mask
The Seeker is Fourth Element's attempt to make a mask you forget you are wearing, and it mostly succeeds. The field of vision is close to unobstructed, which changes how a dive feels more than any spec sheet suggests.
Low internal volume is the practical half of it. Less air inside means less to equalise on the way down and less effort to clear if it floods. New divers notice the clearing, experienced divers notice the equalising.
It comes with a choice of Clarity or Contrast lenses, which is the decision that actually matters when you order. Everything else in our scuba diving masks range gets fitted the same way: on your face, before you buy.

Clarity or Contrast, and it is not a style choice
Clarity lenses are the neutral option and the right default for tropical and clear water. Contrast lenses lift definition in the green, low-light conditions most UK diving happens in. If your diving is mostly at home, take Contrast. If it is mostly abroad, take Clarity.
Why divers choose the Seeker
The view is the selling point
Most masks give you a window and a frame you learn to ignore. The Seeker pushes the frame far enough out of the way that peripheral movement registers properly, which matters for tracking a buddy and for spotting things you would otherwise swim past.
Low volume makes the boring skills easier
Equalising a mask and clearing a mask are the two things every diver does on every dive. Both get easier with less air inside. This is the quiet reason low-volume masks are worth the money.
The skirt suits more faces than most
Fourth Element revised the facial geometry on the Seeker specifically to widen the range of faces it seals on. It is not universal, because nothing is, but the hit rate in our shop is noticeably better than average.
Lens choice matched to where you dive
Being able to specify Contrast for UK water is genuinely useful, and it is not something most manufacturers offer at this price. It makes more difference on a murky day than an extra torch does.
Features that matter underwater
Ultra-soft silicone skirt
Soft enough to seal without being cranked tight. Over-tightening a mask strap is the most common cause of leaks and of the pressure marks people blame on the mask.
Low internal volume
Less air to displace when clearing, and less to add on descent. It also sits closer to the face, which is part of why the field of view feels so open.
Clarity and Contrast lens options
Clarity is neutral and true to colour. Contrast filters to lift definition in green water. Choose for the water you actually dive in most, not the water in the holiday photos.
Moulded logo rather than printed
A small durability point. Printed branding on a mask frame wears off within a couple of seasons of rinsing and sun.
Fit beats specification on any mask
No mask seals on every face. Put it on without the strap, breathe in through your nose, and see if it holds. If it does not hold on your face, no feature list makes it the right mask. Come and try it.

Frequently asked questions
Should I choose Clarity or Contrast lenses on the Seeker?
Contrast if you dive mainly in UK or other green, low-visibility water, because it lifts definition. Clarity if you dive mainly in clear tropical water and want neutral colour.
Is the Fourth Element Seeker a low volume mask?
Yes. The low internal volume makes it quicker to equalise on descent and easier to clear if it floods, which is why we recommend it to divers who have struggled with bulkier masks.
Can prescription lenses be fitted to the Seeker mask?
No. If you need corrective lenses, you want a twin-lens mask that accepts inserts. Ask us which models we stock prescription lenses for.
Will the Seeker fit my face?
The revised skirt geometry suits a wider range of faces than most, but no mask fits everyone. Test it by holding it to your face without the strap and breathing in through your nose. If it stays put, it fits.
Does the Seeker suit freediving as well as scuba?
The low volume makes it a reasonable freediving mask, since less air inside means less to equalise on the way down. Dedicated freediving masks go lower still if that is your main activity.
