Fourth Element Seeker Mask, Dry Snorkel, Pelagic Boots & Fourth Element Tech Fins Package

This is a four-piece package: the Fourth Element Seeker mask, the Fourth Element Dry snorkel, the Fourth Element Pelagic boots and the Fourth Element Tech Fins, as one set at one price. The Seeker is a low-volume mask with a near-natural field of vision and an ultra-soft silicone skirt, and it is the one we put on divers who have struggled with bulkier masks. The Dry snorkel has a dry top, a purge valve and a soft silicone mouthpiece, and the Pelagic is a lightweight 6.5mm dive boot with a rubber sole. The Fourth Element Tech Fin is a vented natural rubber fin with a soft foot pocket, spring straps with heel pads and slightly negative buoyancy, developed with technical divers in mind.

It suits a diver who wants everything chosen to work together and fitted before they leave the shop. The product has three options: Mask, Fin colour and Boot size. You choose the Seeker variant: Black with either a Clarity or a Contrast lens, or Grey, Deep Blue or Deep Teal with a Clarity lens. The lens is the choice that matters: take Contrast if most of your diving is in green UK water, and Clarity if it is mostly in clear tropical water.

You choose the Tech fin colour (Black, Grey or Blue) and your Pelagic boot size, UK 4 to 13. The snorkel is always the Dry snorkel in Black, so there is nothing to choose there. Options shown crossed out are out of stock or on order right now, so ask us and we'll tell you when they're due. If you're unsure of your boot size, we'll fit it in store.

Your boot size sets your fin size

There is no fin size to choose. Pick your boot size and the matching fin size is added automatically:

  • UK 4 to 7: Medium fins
  • UK 8 and 9: Large fins
  • UK 10 and 11: XL fins
  • UK 12 and 13: XXL fins

This follows Fourth Element's Tech Fin size chart, and where two sizes overlap we size up. If the fit isn't right, we're happy to swap the fin size in store.

What's in the package

  • Fourth Element Seeker mask, in the colour and lens you choose
  • Fourth Element Dry snorkel, in Black
  • Fourth Element Pelagic boots, 6.5mm with a rubber sole, in the UK size you choose
  • Fourth Element Tech Fins, in the colour you choose, in the size that matches your boot

Why this pairing works

A wide view without the frame in the way

The Seeker pushes the frame far enough out of the way that peripheral movement registers properly. That helps with tracking a buddy and spotting things you would otherwise swim past.

Low volume makes the basic skills easier

Less air inside the mask means less to equalise on descent and less to clear if it floods. Every diver does both on every dive, so it is a quiet advantage that adds up.

Fins made with technical divers in mind

The Tech Fin is made from natural rubber with a density gradient, which gives a soft foot pocket and optimised stiffness for efficient finning. The vents let water flow along the blade to reduce drag and fatigue, and stiffening rails and ribs help the blade power through the water. The wider blade gives manoeuvrability without losing power, and the shorter length makes the fin more agile and easier to transport. Spring straps with heel pads keep your feet secure, and the fins come with a hanging strap for attaching them to a BCD or harness.

Boots made for finning

The Pelagic is a lightweight, warm boot with an ergonomic footbed that gives heel and arch support and underfoot cushioning. That makes finning and climbing ladders more comfortable, and it is a good fit for boat diving and travel as well as occasional shore diving. It also has double layer reinforcement, a heavy-duty zip with a stopper and a fin strap retainer.

A snorkel that stays out of the way

The Dry snorkel is suitable for diving or snorkelling. It has a dry top, a purge valve and a soft silicone mouthpiece, and a detachable snorkel keeper. In this package it is always the Black one, so there is nothing to choose.

All four parts get fitted properly

Hold the Seeker to your face without the strap and breathe in through your nose: if it stays put, it seals. The boot size sets the fin size, using Fourth Element's Tech Fin size chart. The chart overlaps at UK 10 and UK 12, and we size up in both cases, so the boots and fins are matched from the start. Buying them together means we can check all four parts in one visit, and swap the fin size if it isn't right.

Who this package is for

  • Divers who want the widest, most natural field of view
  • Anyone who struggles to equalise or clear a higher-volume mask
  • Technical divers and others who want a high-performance rubber fin
  • Divers who want a shorter, more agile fin that is easier to transport
  • Divers kitting out from scratch who want one order and one fitting

Who it may not be for: if you already own boots and a snorkel you like, since both come in the package. If you want a longer, wider blade that gives extra thrust with less effort, see the Fourth Element Seeker package with Apeks RK4 fins. If you would rather change the mask, see the Navigator package with Fourth Element Tech fins, a lower-priced mask with a choice of Classic or Wide fit, or the XDEEP Radical and RK3 package, a frameless, low-profile mask.

On the mask itself, look elsewhere if you need prescription lenses. The Seeker does not support them, and a twin-lens mask that accepts corrective inserts is what you need instead.

Fitted and tried in-house

Every package is put together by our own team. We check the mask seals on your face, and we check the boots and fins on your feet. If the fin size isn't right, we're happy to swap it in store. Our instructors dive, teach and service the kit we sell, so we can tell you plainly what suits your diving.

Customers spending over £100 can also try their kit in the water at one of our five pool sites for free, with instructors present. It is a sensible way to settle your fit before open water.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose Clarity or Contrast lenses on the Seeker?

Contrast if you dive mainly in UK or other green, low-visibility water, because it lifts definition. Clarity if you dive mainly in clear tropical water and want neutral colour. In this package Contrast comes in Black, and the other colours come with Clarity.

Can prescription lenses be fitted to the Seeker?

No. If you need corrective lenses, you want a twin-lens mask that accepts inserts. Ask us which models we stock prescription lenses for.

What fin size will I get, and can I change it?

You do not choose a fin size. Your Pelagic boot size sets it, using Fourth Element's Tech Fin size chart, sizing up where sizes overlap. UK 4 to 7 get Medium, UK 8 and 9 get Large, UK 10 and 11 get XL, and UK 12 and 13 get XXL. If the fit isn't right, we're happy to swap the fin size in store.

What is the difference between the Tech fins and the Apeks RK4?

The Tech Fin is a vented natural rubber fin with a wider, shorter blade that favours manoeuvrability and easy transport, and it is slightly negatively buoyant. The Apeks RK4 has a longer, wider blade that gives extra thrust with less effort, a flexible blade tip and a comfort heel pad, and it is neutrally buoyant in fresh water.

Are the snorkel and boots included?

Yes. The package includes the Fourth Element Dry snorkel, which is always Black, and the Fourth Element Pelagic boots in the UK size you choose, from 4 to 13.

Buying the Fourth Element Seeker Mask, Dry snorkel, Pelagic boots and Fourth Element Tech fins package

This is the package we recommend to divers who want a complete mask, snorkel, boots and fins set that suits UK diving and each other. The Seeker gets you the view and the fit, the Dry snorkel and the Pelagic cover the snorkel and the boots, and the Tech Fins get you the propulsion. As a package it costs 8% less than buying the four parts separately.

If you are unsure which options to pick, ask us before you order. We can fit all four parts in store.
