Halcyon Symbios HUD Dive Computer
The Symbios HUD puts your dive data in your line of sight, so you do not need to look down or lift an arm to read it. It mounts on your mask, works as a complete dive computer on its own, and Halcyon describes it as the smallest and lightest HUD available.
It suits open circuit, technical and rebreather divers. You can use it alone, or alongside a Symbios Silver handset. It comes alone or bundled with the Symbios Tank Pod, and both are the same items sold separately.

Why divers choose the Symbios HUD
Data where your eyes already are
Depth, time and decompression are in your field of view all the time. Nothing to find, nothing to look away from.
Hands free
Your hands stay free for equipment handling, photography or team tasks. The data also stays visible during movement, gas sharing or bailout.
Your team in view
You see your own and your team's critical gas, PO₂ and life-support data in real time, which supports better coordination.
Less bulk
A compact mask-mounted unit keeps your setup streamlined.
Features that matter underwater
Large virtual display
Halcyon quotes a virtual image of approximately 20 x 20 cm at around 70 cm distance, with a steady compass and data presentation.
Wireless across the ecosystem
It receives tank pressure, CCR information (Symbios and non-Symbios), team data and DPV integration wirelessly, with real-time PO₂ and no extra cables.
PO₂ you can read under stress
The colour-coded PO₂ display highlights normal operation and alerts you when attention is needed.
Autonomous
It works as a complete dive computer for recreational, technical and CCR diving, with no separate wrist unit needed. Settings, profiles, gases, simulations, pre-dive checks and logs all run through the Halcyon App.
Mount it with the right clamp for your mask: see the clamp page.
Why choose the Symbios HUD
A wrist computer means looking down and bringing your arm up. On a complex dive or while sharing gas, the HUD saves that effort. If you want both, the HUD works alongside the Silver handset.
Spend over £100 with us and you can bring your new kit to one of our instructor-run pool sessions for free, to get confident with it. It is not one-to-one coaching, so you dive it yourself, and kit that has been in the water cannot be returned. For a mask-mounted display that is a good way to check fit and position.
Who is the Symbios HUD for
- Rebreather divers who want PO₂ always in view
- Technical divers who handle stages, reels or scooters
- Photographers who need hands free
- Divers who want one computer in their line of sight
Who it may not be for: if you prefer a wrist computer, see the Symbios Silver or all dive computers.
How to get the best from the Symbios HUD
- Choose the clamp for your mask first.
- Set gases and profiles in the Halcyon App.
- Run a simulated dive before the water.
- Check the position with your mask on, in shallow water.
- Keep software updated through the app.

Frequently asked questions
"Do I still need a wrist computer?"
Halcyon says the HUD works as a complete dive computer, so a separate wrist-mounted unit is not required. You can also use it alongside a Silver handset if you want a second display.
Which mask does it fit?
It fits through a clamp made for your mask. Check the clamp page for the list.
Does it work on a rebreather?
Yes, it takes CCR information wirelessly, and a CCR pod is needed for that. See the CCR pods.
Can I use it with a Tank Pod?
Yes. It receives tank pressure through the pod.
