XDEEP Radical Frameless Mask, Snorkel, Boots & Apeks RK4 Fins Package
XDEEP Radical Frameless Mask, Dry Snorkel, Pelagic Boots & Apeks RK4 Fins Package
This is a four-piece package: the XDEEP Radical frameless mask, the Fourth Element Dry snorkel, the Fourth Element Pelagic boots and the Apeks RK4 fins, as one set at one price. The XDEEP Radical is a frameless mask with a wide angle of view, a low profile and a large nose pocket, and it comes in eight colours. The Dry snorkel has a dry top, a purge valve and a soft silicone mouthpiece, and the Pelagic is a lightweight 6.5mm dive boot with a rubber sole. The Apeks RK4 is a longer, wider fin than the RK3 with a flexible blade tip, a comfort heel pad and an adjustable spring strap, and it is built to give extra thrust with less effort.
It suits a diver who wants everything chosen to work together and fitted before they leave the shop. The product has three options: Mask, Fin colour and Boot size. You choose the Radical in Black, Blue, Clear, Grey, Lime, Red, Sand or White. There is no lens or fit option to pick, so the choice is down to colour.
You choose the RK4 colour (Black, White, Orange or Grey) and your Pelagic boot size, UK 4 to 13. The snorkel is always the Dry snorkel in Black, so there is nothing to choose there. Options shown crossed out are out of stock or on order right now, so ask us and we'll tell you when they're due. If you're unsure of your boot size, we'll fit it in store.
Your boot size sets your fin size
There is no fin size to choose. Pick your boot size and the matching fin size is added automatically:
- UK 4 to 6: Medium fins
- UK 7 and 8: Large fins
- UK 9 to 13: XL fins
This follows the hard-sole row of the Apeks size guide, which suits the Pelagic's rubber sole. Apeks calls the XL size Super. If the fit isn't right, we're happy to swap the fin size in store.
What's in the package
- XDEEP Radical frameless mask, in the colour you choose
- Fourth Element Dry snorkel, in Black
- Fourth Element Pelagic boots, 6.5mm with a rubber sole, in the UK size you choose
- Apeks RK4 fins, in the colour you choose, in the size that matches your boot
Why this pairing works
A low-profile frameless mask
The Radical has a low profile compared with other frameless masks, which can help reduce drag. Without a frame, the wide angle of view stays open.
Ultraclear glass and a roomy nose pocket
The glass is Ultraclear, which means minimal impurities and excellent optical clarity underwater. The large nose pocket makes the mask comfortable on a range of face shapes.
Thrust and control from the same fin
The extended RK4 blade is longer and wider than the RK3 and gives extra thrust with less effort. The flexible blade tip improves manoeuvrability in tight spaces, so the RK4 works for frog-kicks, tight wrecks and gliding backwards as well as open water.
Boots made for finning
The Pelagic is a lightweight, warm boot with an ergonomic footbed that gives heel and arch support and underfoot cushioning. That makes finning and climbing ladders more comfortable, and it is a good fit for boat diving and travel as well as occasional shore diving. It also has double layer reinforcement, a heavy-duty zip with a stopper and a fin strap retainer.
A snorkel that stays out of the way
The Dry snorkel is suitable for diving or snorkelling. It has a dry top, a purge valve and a soft silicone mouthpiece, and a detachable snorkel keeper. In this package it is always the Black one, so there is nothing to choose.
All four parts get fitted properly
The Radical has a large nose pocket that suits a variety of face shapes, but fit still decides it, so try it on your face first. The RK4 is an open-heel fin worn with dive boots or a drysuit, and its adjustable spring strap lets us set the fit to your boot. The boot size sets the fin size, using the hard-sole row of the Apeks size guide, so the boots and fins are matched from the start. Buying them together means we can check all four parts in one visit, and swap the fin size if it isn't right.
Who this package is for
- Divers who want a frameless, low-profile mask
- Divers who want a wide angle of view
- Divers who want more thrust and less effort per kick
- Divers who dive wrecks, caves or open water and want a comfort heel pad on long dives
- Divers kitting out from scratch who want one order and one fitting
Who it may not be for: if you want the RK3's short blade for turning in tight spaces, or its negative buoyancy, which helps counteract the air in drysuit boots, or if you already own boots and a snorkel you like, since both come in the package. If you prefer the RK3's short, broad blade and oversized drysuit-boot foot pocket, see the XDEEP Radical Frameless package with Apeks RK3 fins. If you would rather change the mask, see the Seeker and RK4 package, a low-volume mask with Clarity or Contrast lenses, or the Navigator and RK4 package, a lower-priced mask with a choice of Classic or Wide fit.
On the mask itself, look elsewhere if you want a choice of lens type. The Seeker (Clarity or Contrast) and the Navigator (Enhance or Clarity) both offer one, and the Radical has a single Ultraclear glass.
Fitted and tried in-house
Every package is put together by our own team. We check the mask seals on your face, and we check the boots and fins on your feet. If the fin size isn't right, we're happy to swap it in store. Our instructors dive, teach and service the kit we sell, so we can tell you plainly what suits your diving.
Customers spending over £100 can also try their kit in the water at one of our five pool sites for free, with instructors present. It is a sensible way to settle your fit before open water.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Radical a low-profile mask?
Yes. It has a low profile compared with other frameless masks, which can help reduce drag.
Will the Radical fit my face?
The large nose pocket makes it suitable for a variety of face shapes, but no mask fits everyone. Try it on without the strap and breathe in through your nose: if it holds, it seals.
What fin size will I get, and can I change it?
You do not choose a fin size. Your Pelagic boot size sets it, using the hard-sole row of the Apeks size guide, which suits the Pelagic's rubber sole. UK 4, 5 and 6 get Medium, UK 7 and 8 get Large, and UK 9 to 13 get XL (Apeks calls it Super). If the fit isn't right, we're happy to swap the fin size in store.
What is the difference between the RK4 and the RK3?
The RK4 is longer and wider than the RK3, gives extra thrust with less effort, has a flexible blade tip and a comfort heel pad, and is neutrally buoyant in fresh water. The RK3 has a short, broad, vented rubber blade and is negatively buoyant, which helps counteract the air in drysuit boots.
Are the snorkel and boots included?
Yes. The package includes the Fourth Element Dry snorkel, which is always Black, and the Fourth Element Pelagic boots in the UK size you choose, from 4 to 13.
Buying the XDEEP Radical Frameless Mask, Dry snorkel, Pelagic boots and Apeks RK4 fins package
This is the package we recommend to divers who want a complete mask, snorkel, boots and fins set that suits UK diving and each other. The Radical gets you the view and the fit, the Dry snorkel and the Pelagic cover the snorkel and the boots, and the RK4 gets you the propulsion. As a package it costs 8% less than buying the four parts separately.
If you are unsure which options to pick, ask us before you order. We can fit all four parts in store.
