XDEEP Zeos 38 and Apeks EVX200 Regulator Package
This package pairs the XDEEP Zeos 38 wing system with the Apeks EVX200 regulator, its octopus and an Apeks pressure gauge, as one fixed rig at one price. It is the comfort-first route into backplate and wing diving, paired with the best-breathing regulator Apeks makes.
The Zeos 38 is a single cylinder wing system with 17kg (38lb) of lift, a donut-shaped wing and a padded back that covers the plate. It gives you the trim of a wing without the feel of a bare plate against your spine. The EVX200 matches it for refinement: smooth breathing at depth, and a first stage whose ports point the hoses where a streamlined rig needs them.
The package is set up with a Deluxe harness and a black wing, with a DIN regulator, an alternate air source and an Apeks pressure gauge. Choose an aluminium or stainless steel backplate above.
What's in the package
- XDEEP Zeos 38 wing system: 17kg (38lb) black single cylinder wing, Deluxe harness, single tank adapter and your choice of aluminium or stainless steel backplate
- Apeks EVX200 first stage, DIN 300 bar
- Apeks EVX200 second stage
- Apeks alternate second stage (octopus)
- Apeks pressure gauge with high-pressure hose
Not included: cylinder, dive computer and weights.
Why this pairing works
Wing trim, with comfort built in
A back-mounted wing holds air behind you, so you sit flat in the water rather than upright. The Zeos 38's donut-shaped wing spreads air evenly through the bladder for balanced trim, and it vents easily when you need to dump. The padded back means it is comfortable to wear on the boat as well as underwater.
Hoses that stay close to the rig
The EVX200 first stage has five medium-pressure ports and two angled high-pressure ports, so the octopus, inflator hose and gauge route tidily instead of looping across your chest. On a streamlined wing, that is what keeps the profile clean, and the ports still leave room for a transmitter later.
Your plate, your diving, ready for UK water
Choose the aluminium backplate and you have the lighter option, ideal if you fly to your diving. Choose stainless steel and the extra weight at the plate helps trim and stability, which suits cold, local diving. The EVX200 is environmentally sealed and over-balanced, with an Auto Closure Device and a heat exchanger on the second stage, so the same rig handles a UK winter dive and a warm water trip.
Durable where it matters
The Zeos 38's outer shell is 1100 dTEX Cordura, resistant to abrasion, tears and punctures, over a 440 dTEX nylon bladder. Large drainage holes let it shed water quickly when you climb out. The EVX200 is designed and made in the UK, for the water most of our customers dive.
Who this package is for
- Divers moving off a jacket BCD who want a wing that feels comfortable from day one
- Divers who travel and want the lighter aluminium plate, or divers who dive local and want stainless
- Divers who want the most refined Apeks regulator, with tidy hose routing
- Single cylinder divers in wetsuits or drysuits
- Anyone planning to add a transmitter later
Who it may not be for: if you regularly dive a steel cylinder in a drysuit and want more lift headroom, the XDEEP NX Zen wing gives you 19kg. If ruggedness matters more than refinement, the Zeos 38 and MTX-RC package is the tougher choice.
Set up, tested and serviced in-house
A wing system rewards being set up once, properly. We fit the harness to the exposure suit you actually dive in, position the D-rings where your hands go, and route the inflator so the dump is easy to reach when you are flat. We route the regulator hoses and gauge, check the intermediate pressure and breathe-test the regulator. Both halves can be serviced in-house at our UK dive centre afterwards.
Coloured Miflex hoses can be chosen on the product page as an optional upgrade. Customers spending over £100 can also try their kit in the water at one of our five pool sites for free, with instructors present, which is the sensible way to settle your weighting before open water.

Frequently asked questions
Is 17kg of lift enough?
For single cylinder diving, including thicker wetsuits and drysuits, 17kg gives adequate buoyancy and control. If you regularly dive a heavy steel cylinder in a drysuit with extra kit and want more headroom, the XDEEP NX Zen wing is the better fit.
Zeos 38 or NX Zen, which should I choose?
The Zeos 38 is the comfort-first option, with a padded back and a donut-shaped wing. The XDEEP NX Zen wing has more lift (19kg), a narrower bladder and a contoured plate, and suits divers heading towards technical diving. Both are excellent single cylinder wings.
Is the EVX200 in this package DIN or yoke?
DIN, rated to 300 bar. DIN is the standard for most UK cylinders. If you travel to destinations that use yoke valves, a DIN-to-yoke adapter covers you.
Why choose this package over the Zeos 38 and MTX-RC package?
The EVX200 breathes slightly more smoothly and has far better hose routing. The MTX-RC is built tougher for the harshest conditions. Both are properly cold water rated.
Does the package include a gauge or dive computer?
The gauge is included: an Apeks pressure gauge with its high-pressure hose, fitted to the first stage. A dive computer isn't included. The EVX200's angled high-pressure ports also suit an air-integrated transmitter, and we can fit one when you buy it.
Buying the Zeos 38 and EVX200 package
This is the rig we recommend to divers who want wing trim without giving up comfort, and a regulator they won't outgrow. The Zeos 38 is easy to live with on the boat and in the water, and the EVX200 is Apeks' flagship. Set up properly once, gauge included, it is a rig you can take anywhere.
